Within 10 minutes of starting the massage if you see it is not for you it is OK to end it with no obligation whatsoever.
That said, massage therapy will not “crack” backs, re-align the spine, fully end a migraine, fix a sprained ankle etc. If you have a medical reason why you are seeking massage please discuss this with me by phone before your appointment in case I need to refer you to another health service that will better meet your need.
Although I might be able to bring you a second massage therapist there is no way I can offer the same guarantee for their work as no one else on Waiheke Island guarantees their work. Also the massage price would go up, and there would be two separate drive-out fees charged if the appointments were mobile. In order to provide you quality work at a reasonable price I work alone.
VALUE: In 1991 when I worked at the Hyatt Hotel in Maui, a job I competed for against hundreds of people, Hyatt customers paid $150 US for 50 minutes of my work. That would have been about NZ $300 at that time. As far as NZ value, in the mid 90s I was hired by The Glasshouse boutique mini-hotel on Waiheke Island — guests paid $120 NZ then (7 years ago) for 55 minutes of my work. Definitely what I am charging you is the wholesale price that any fancy spa would transform into a much higher price if I worked for them. I am very conscientious to give you, or the people you give my massage to, true value for your investment. I would only want that myself if I were in your shoes.
